Community Discovery Nights
These annual evenings are an opportunity for residents to learn more about resources and supports in their area, as well as register for local recreational programs. Carbon, Acme and Linden hold their Community Discovery Nights in March. Three Hills holds theirs in September. Kneehill Regional FCSS and the partnering municipalities coordinate these events.
Men & Kids Event
Kneehill Regional FCSS, Kneehill Community Resource Program hosts two Men & Kids events each June. The event is an opportunity for children aged 3-9 to spend time with a significant male in their life while participating in fun and silly activities. The end result from these events is always fun, laughter and great memories for the men and children to share. Statistics show that children with involved positive male role models develop more successfully in life.
Early Years Fair
Kneehill Regional FCSS partners with a number of other organizations to host a fun and educational one day event for parents and their children ages 0-4. This event provides the opportunity for children to participate in fun age appropriate activities and/or parents to gather parenting resources, complete ages and stages questionnaires for their children and learn about the wide variety of programs and service available. The 2015 Early Years Fair will be in Linden in May.
